OVERVIEW

Waverley is a purpose build care home, supporting for the care needs of Adults with Learning  Difficulties, Elderly, Mental Health & Physically Disabled residents, who do not require nursing care. The home opened in 1994 & we still have several original residents who have made it their permanent home. Many other residents have lived at the home around 15 years.

Waverley is on the High Street (the main road into town) just a 10 minute walk to local shops & our award-winning Blue Flag beach just 15 minutes walk away too. We have a newly built leisure centre up the High Street where residents are supported to use the facilities & swimming pool.

Several residents access the community independently every day. Others who are unable to safely access the comm,unity are supported 1-1 by staff for personal shopping, activities, events etc.

STAFF VACANCIES

We are lucky to have a very good staff retention & many of our staff have been with us for 20+ years. We tend to not have many staff vacancies, as staff stay with us, as they enjoy the working environment. Staff usually only leave when they wish to retire.
As we have a number of very long term residents too, this makes it more of "family home" environment & not just a usual care home / work place. 

CQC
Waverley has a "requires improvement" rating from CQC inspection & there is a link on this page to enable you to access our latest report. Our last inspection was 3 years ago on May 2022 & we are still awaiting CQC's return to see the improvements we have made.
